New York, USA – September 21, 2024: The Centre for Global Studies (CGS), an initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), has successfully organized a pivotal side event during the UN Summit of the Future at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This event was held in collaboration with the UN Security Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), the Parliament Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the UN, and the Permanent Mission of Italy to the UN.
The session was centered around the theme: “Parliamentary Support in Re-Establishing Trust and Reputation in Multilateral Governance”. This initiative aims to further the strategic objectives of the Summit by enhancing parliamentary and governmental cooperation in addressing pressing global challenges, reinvigorating the multilateral governance system, and providing decision-makers with crucial insights needed for effective national oversight of the Summit’s outcomes. It also endeavors to promote the implementation of the Pact for the Future at both national and regional levels.
The event, expertly moderated by H.E. Amb. Sergio Piazzi, Secretary General of PAM, featured a distinguished lineup of speakers. These included H.E. Hon. The Centre for Global Studies (CGS) is at the forefront of evaluating and enhancing trust and reputation across both private and public sectors globally. As the session concluded, H.E. Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of CGS and Roving Ambassador of PAM for the GCC Region, delivered final remarks expressing gratitude to all dignitaries for their valuable contributions. He announced the forthcoming “Trust Path & Reputation Summit”, which will be held under the theme: ‘Building Trust, Shaping Reputation’.
